RFU 3.1 Remdim

Post by bnortin » Tue Mar 30, 2010 12:42 am

Has anyone had issues using the remdim button on RFU 3.1? It seems to work fine the first time I press the button, then it stops working.

I was noticing something odd yesterday too. Seems that sometimes when I hit it, the button functioned correctly. Other times it just turned on the new channel but didn't "RemDim" it.

That's the exact same problem I was having.

Hey all,

I've done a bit of testing with my RFU now that I'm running v.3.1. This is what I've found (assuming "ON" level is set to 80%):

Test 1:
- 101 @ 8* (Channel 101 comes on at 80%)
- 102 Rem Dim (channel 101 goes out, channel 102 comes on at 80%)
- 103 Rem Dim (channel 103 comes on at 80%, channel 102 stays on at 80%)
- 102 Off (channels 102 AND 103 go out)
** Ideally channel 102 should go out with the command "103 Rem Dim". Also, only channel 102 should go out with the command "102 Off".

Test 2:
- 101 @ 8* (Channel 101 comes on at 80%)
- 102 @ 8 Rem Dim (channel 101 goes out, channel 102 comes on at 80%)
- 103 @ 8 Rem Dim (channel 102 goes out, channel 103 comes on at 80%)
** This works and is the desired result.

Test 3:
- 101 @ 8* (Channel 101 comes on at 80%)
- 102 @ Rem Dim (RFU Crashes)
** Ideally the command "@ Rem Dim" does not crash the RFU.

I hope this helps.

Contact your local dealer/distributor about getting it upgraded. You cannot download and update the software yourself.
