XPE version

Post by mat » Thu Sep 10, 2009 5:05 am

As a new palette vl owner,I noticed that xpe on my desk is a new release.
my lightpalette vl has a xpe nov 07/06, and my palette vl has a xpe nov 07/08.
And of course the latest is really really really better: right click! wow! and firefox for SN 110...

Is it possible to update the xpe of my lightpalette vl?

No - and there is no reason to. Honest.
I believe Strand has a Firefox installer for your old Palette.

Why would you need to install a new hard drive? Are you running out of storage or something?

no, it is a way to have the last windows embedded edition.
Believe me, rick click is really important to me , working is faster with it.
And also ,other things like internet explorer options that I can't access to ( you have to be admin!!!)....

I would really suggest not using the console as a internet browsing device. There is no need to have the console that you use for lighting to access the internet. Use your thumb drive to save software etc to it, and install software updates that way. I think you would be better off that way.

it is not for the internet but in this case I would like to have my SN 110 config page as the starting page of internet explorer.
And it is not possible! ( admin right...)
So I don't want to go on the internet but I have as a starting page of explorer the strand lighting website, which is ..... a blank page! because I don't use my desk for internet.
My version of xpe is horrible.
I just want to have the direct access to my SN110 and I just want to right click....
