German Keyboard Layout

Post by Kuni » Thu Oct 23, 2008 5:50 am

Hi there,

we use a Palette VL 16 with factory installed Software Version 10.4.2.
Is there a hint to use a german keyboard (qwertz NOT qwerty)?

Go to the control panel and change the language settings in windows. There you can specify the keyboard you use.
I am not at a console right now, so I wouldn't know if this is included in the control panel or not, but that's how it works on the full windows versions.

Sorry, that s not right.
Yes, I know thats the normal way for Windows. But here we have a version without any acess to everything.
There is no posibillity to go to this menu. The only way is on backdoor "cmd". And funny thing: All of this Software are disabled. So there is no change to set a German keyboard or change anything else.

So the question to the programmers:
Is there a possibility to change the keyboard layout?

Kuni,

The access to the Keyboard options should be in there.

You access it by going to the Shell display. From there hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and press the Time Setting option. This should open the Keyboard options.

Please note that as yet the Palette OS is not fully internationalised, so at some points the characters may not show correctly.
