HI All

I noticed that the software version 10.4.2 has gone from the website. Is there a reason for this?

cheers

We were having issues with buring firmware on some of the older units. It got the console into a bit of a mess where shock-paddles were needed to get it back to life. We think we're sorted it and are about to post another bets soon (which will be a release by LDI - Oct 23 ish)

Wouldn't want to show up to LDI without a good solid release now would we? :P

Once it runs on the hardware it works? Or should I be worried to run a show on 10.4.1 or 10.4.2 installed on a Classic Palette (silver).

What is the best version to roll back to? We have a television broadcast tomorrow... just to be shure... It appears to run normal.

One of our crew tried to program a bunch of lighting cues on the Classic Palette (silver) with version 10.4.2 on it and it crashed a whole bunch of times. We have since gone back to versino 10.3.1 which is much more stable. Obviously there are some features that do not exist in 10.3.1 that do in 10.4.2 but which would you prefer, a stable console or a few new features on a console that might crash if you breath near it? 10.3.1 is the only version that can be downloaded from the Strand website.

Yes, i have the same question. We are about to send a classic pallette off to asia for a tour. It's running 10.4.2. Once it works, it works??? Or is it a risk?

Personally, I would recommend that you stick with the latest "release" version available (currently 10.3.1) for live show environments.
