Re: Patch by Output v.10.6.4

This problem with backspace after @ has been a long standing nit of mine. It drives me crazy both in Patch and Live.

Re: Rec. Label on Group

Robert,

I must agree with PierTis. Following the keystrokes in you post, the channels in the group change levels to the group level after the label change.

Re: 10.6.2 Lags and Crashes

My first suggestion is to be sure to reboot the console at least once a week. That is probably a bit more often than is strictly required but makes for an easy to remember time. For our permanent installs with rack palette we simply create a time event to handle this. Greatly improves long term stab...

Re: Cyc as RGB+W

I imagine RBG+W is similar to CMYK so there is lots of research there. BUT we still are going to have issues unless/until we can determine which RED and which BLUE... for a given fixture. The simple math between RGB and CMY is great IF and ONLY IF we know exactly which R, G, B and which C, M, Y. Col...

Re: Color Kinetics control on strand board

For RS-232 control with the LSM, http://www.colorkinetics.com/support/appnotes/notes/AN-lse-rs232.pdf is the document from CK that you want. A Lua script can then be written to output the required string from the console. The script could be triggered by Cue, submaster or bump button, your choice. F...

Re: Color Kinetics control on strand board

The LSM or iplayer will accept serial command to trigger events. One of the keypad options from CK is a RS-232 keypad. Those commands could easily be sent from the Palette. Heck, the VN touchscreen can be programmed to send the same serial commands. Having the Palette emulate the network keypad woul...

Re: iPhone Riggers Remote

Robert,

Do we still have the issue with UI macros of the Softkeys not being able to update during a macro?

Re: Admin Password

Your Palette VL console comes with Windows XPE. The E stands for Embedded. There is no admin access outside of the factory. Installing additional software on the console is strongly discouraged. If you let us know what you are trying to achieve we may be able to point you to a more suitable alternat...
