Re: Dimmer/Console communication problem

Is this system all network? Does the console connect to the racks with only a network cable? Here are a few more things to check. Cat 5 cables. Make sure they are locked in all the way and that they are in good shape. Network terminations. Make sure that all the terminations are punched down correct...

Re: 3 things I hate about you (classic Pallette)

The software is the same on all of the consoles. There are very few things that can only be done on one family of consoles over another.

Re: 10.4.2 Networking Issues

John, From what you are describing is that you want the consoles to track like the 500's did. The problem with full keystroke tracking (like the 500's) is that the command that crashed one console would be duplicated on the other and could take down the backup. As for your network issue I would chec...

Re: Argghh

Below is a list of items to check. Single Motorola/Symbol access point. Part # 66150 Pocket Palette Stan...

This could also be very cool for follow spot ops. Nice work Robert. Where does the note information come from?

Re: Gooseneck lamps

The current connection for the Desk lights on a Light Palette series is a 3-pin XLR. The desk lamps from a 520 should work no problem. I'm using old LBM lamps on my console. This also gives you the ability to control them from the desk. If you want to go crazy you can even write them in cues using m...

Re: SMPTE/MIDI Interface

I didn't have to do anything to make MTC work. Here are my notes on setting it up. As a quick note the MTC clock dose not show Frames. 1)Right click on the playback that you want to be controlled by Midi. 2)Select properties 3) Set "SMPTE" to "External A" 4) Hit OK 5)Select tools 6) "S5" for "SMPTE ...

Re: SMPTE/MIDI Interface

Midi Time Code works like a champ. I did a job a few weeks ago that was to have SMPTE but it did not get recorded. Switched on the MTC and it worked. Just as a side note the SMPTE/MIDI interface only works with the Light Palette and Rack Palette consoles.
