I've run into this problem too. The easiest way to correct this problem is to right click on the Cue list in the cue list window. Select properties, Click on default color then click on the Background and select black, Then click on Foreground and click on white.

Greg, Beside upgrading the software make sure that you up grade the shell. This is a separate update. The old version is 5.3 the new version is 5.4. I wish that after the name it would have a S1, S2, or some thing to denote what slot, frame, hole etc. That way if the gobo name is wrong you still know what slot is active.
