Mark

Mark needs to be able to set a light in the same cue that it fades out in, please. For a whole host of reasons, I don't want to have to insert a point cue between two cues. This is a surefire way for a show to end up in a follow on cue at some point if it doesn't complete before the next cue is call...

Re: Easy way to update positions

Would it be better, I wonder, to make a tool (like the current rig check tool) for doing this kind of focus touch-up? That way you're not piling yet more functionality onto one set of commands, and yet more functionality (and so confusion) into whether things are in a cue playback or a programmer or...

Re: GeniusPro Setup

Just a quick note/thought on the old 500-series 'GP/LP" switch - which is to say that it was dumb. It was dumb because while it did act as a master switch that changed the defaults for a bunch of sub-settings, there were also some settings it changed which you could not the manually change (ie. the ...

Re: GeniusPro Setup

Part of my problem with all of this is that it fails the 'just does the right thing' test in quite a major way, in part just because of the language - too many things to be set, too much thinking about what they all mean (eg: goto cue on record: off; at the very least why not 'goto cue on record: ye...

Re: 10.3.1 Goto Cue in Cue Time

John, Would you expect Goto Cue to use cue timing....? From history, I wouldn't. Not saying that's right or wrong... Eos has a nice 'Goto Cue x Time *' syntax that says 'use the cue time', as opposed to the normal goto cue that says 'go in the set-up specified goto time' or 'Goto Cue 5 Time 2' that ...

Re: troubleshooting

500 also let you bring up a dimmer when you only knew the channel number: DIMMER {at chan} 1 @ level {at chan} was a softkey. This was a great way of holding out faulty lights that got trashed: because they were held in the patch rather than the channel control the held level wouldn't get recorded/u...

Re: UPDATE

Requested by Strand?!!!!

Update should not add the content of subs.

Update should do things you have changed manually at the command line.

Re: Following channel and cue list windows

Also on 500 if you then hit Enter (501 ENTER), then it would mark it for an update. That's no longer an issue with Palette OS. True and fair. But I bet LDs still want to say '501 @ (pause to look at level) 50' rather than '501 enter (pause) @ 50' Firstly, it's that 'through line of thought' thing a...
