Re: Remote Engine Window

On other Windows applications, you can hit Alt+Spacebar to bring up the "restore" window. As this menu is disabled in this software, there lies the problem (you cannot "maximise" the window).

Is there a reason why this is disabled on the OEM?

Re: captured fixtures

So what you want is a syntax that says something like: 1 thru 5 [Release in time] [Cue] 5 * Releases those channels with the out time of selected cue. This is how I would solve it using the current capabilities of the desk as a manual control... - Record those levels into a new cue list "ReleaseInCu...

Bump to Record...

Although V10.0.1 has removed this feature from direct use, I have just discovered that you can still use record + bump...

You just have to hit "Shift+Record" to get the dialogue box first. Then the bump button records just as it used to.

Patching Issues

1) Fixture 1 is patched to outputs 1 thru 5. You decide to use Fixture 2 for Output 2. When you type the command, you get the “unpatch” warning – and if you hit “Yes”, Fixture 1 is completely unpatched (rather then just repatching that one output). 2) Change Fixture type from Dimmer to Scroller Dimm...

Unpatch Fixtures – Are Your Sure???

“Well, I am not sure. What is it doing at the moment?”.

When the console asks if you are sure, it should present the information about what it is doing so you can be “sure”. Perhaps the status window could display what fixtures will be unpatched with this action.

USB Light disables Marquee board on LP VL

A simple USB light, connected to one of the hub outputs of the marquee board renders the board (and the whole control interface) dead. Unplug the light, and reboot - everything is fine.

Display Control on LP VL

My Light Palette VL gets a tough life, going place to place running things here and there. Just tried to run up a second monitor on the second output for the first time in a couple of months, and I cannot get the software to believe the hardware exists and is connected. No amount of rebooting seems ...

Re: captured fixtures

You CAN put the capture and release times on the A/B or C/D faders (hardware setup), but it might be easier to dump it to a spare submaster (if you have one) and manually fade it out with your cue.

I do like the idea of telling lights to "Release with next cue GO" - that could be quite helpful.

Re: V10.1 , DMX 512

One of the programmers may jump in here, but from what I understand, it is something to do with a firmware update required on some "silver" Palette consoles. I suspect that update will be out very shortly, buried inside the next version of the software 10.0.2.
