Re: DMX in rant

It is a huge shame that this... Tons of widgets exist to fix these issues ... does not include the N21. If you just take Ethernet to DMX devices as a class of products, there are a variety of very capable options out there that avoid this particular "inability" of the N21. I have long held the opini...

Re: 10.6.3 OLE Error calling RPC

I would try eliminating the problem when you see the error: - kill (one at a time) other processes that you can manually stop like Skype - check ...

Unless you have access to a secret "Beta Version" stash, I suspect you are actually using 10.6.3

The "four digit" version numbers seem to be reserved for Betas.

...spelling and context

Can I be so bold as to suggest that you use "thru" ONLY when talking about that button or the "thru" console function.

I would hate to think you threw "through" in the bin in favour of "thru". It is just lazy, and can be confusing for people.

..or at the very least, a helpful dialogue that says "You should change OUTPUT settings using the PATCH BY OUTPUT page. Change screen to Patch by Output? Yes/Not Now"

Sync Audio and Lighting Cues

This was posted on my videos on You Tube... How would you sync music to go with a light cue? I have a Palette Preset II and we would like to have our board run for example a thunder sound effect then have a light cue go . There are a couple of ways to answer this, depending on your console capabili...

Re: Control Panel

Don't loose te key. It is VERY expensive to replace. That is why in the long run, you might want to think about a "cleaner" solution.

Re: Fixture Profile

Brian is great at getting these things done quickly, but it DOES pay to learn how you can take an existing fixture and "re-patch" it so you can use it for demos. There are lots of LED fixtures in there to choose from. From memory you do this... 1) patch a suitable fixture for you to bend into shape ...
