Re: Netslot

Jon, ideally yes the netslot would correspond in someway to the real dimmer number. But remember, a visiting console can't output the same netslot as your house console (I am talking pure network systems now) This would be a net conflict and cause blinking lights. The dimmer rack (in a pure network...

Re: Netslot

I think of a NetSlot as the actual dimmer number in a theoretical system of 18,000+ outputs. So instead of limiting yourself to the "conventional" DMX universes (1-512, 513-1024, etc) you can set up parts of your system using any logical numbering arrangements. For instance, my stage dimmers start w...

Re: Suggestions for RFU improvement

Do you have the Symbol wireless RFU? The only way to change the time on the RFU is too log into the main part of the handheld device and change it in the operating system. Send me a private message if you would like some guidance. (Provided of course that the password is actually the same on all the...

Re: 10.6 Tutorials

Thanks Bobby for starting the tutorials. They're a great resource. I can't wait to see more.
I would vote for including it with the software & as a separate download. Then it's always there when you need it. Wherever you are. :)

Re: Strand 300 Replacement - Which Palette?

When we first had a play with the Palette at PLASA whilst it was still under development Richard Lawrence and his team over at Cambridge had written the software so it worked seamlessly with existing consoles, I also seem to remember it having a Linux OS running the console? Am I on the right track...

Re: 10.5.22 Likes

Is there a reason to separate bump timing & handle time? I guess I can think of an example - you want to flash a look using the bump, but also move the handle & have it fade in a preset time. I think we should make sure that the differences are intuitively clear to users that are used to having one ...

Re: N21 "No MUX Hold Time"

Does the pack operate as it should? ie, do the lights go out when you unplug the DMX from the rack?
Also, is it safe to assume that you were setting the N21 that outputs the DMX to the dimmer rack for the 1 hour hold (and not an input node)?

Re: DMX flavor problem?

When Wicked was in a year and half ago we had DMX incompatibility issues from their GrandMA into the SN110 nodes. We ended up having to totally bypass the Shownet network & go directly into the CD80 racks. If I remember correctly the data was actually coming from a NSP, and not out of the back of th...

Color wheel + CMY

I noticed that when using a MAC 2k Wash if I set one of the color wheels to a color, then later use color text matching to set a color, it only affects the CMY, and does not change the color on the color wheels.
Is this a bug, feature, or something else?
