Re: How to get people to update

In many respects, getting these guys to upgrade themselves does have advantages: - they get used to the process and learn how to upgrade and rollback - they get used to being a bit proactive with manging their systems Good point here that bares inforcing. When users d/l the upgrade to d:\ and re-bo...

Re: Other software on the console

Thing is - we don't have the rights to ship that s/w so we can't install it. As far as the firewall is concerned - it is definately TURNED ON. Re: Look page display accessible from Console keys

You're right. Currently VIEW goes to the command line (regardelss of console personality) for what reason, I don't know. FYI - [SHIFT] [VIEW] [LOOK] opens the View DB where you can get properties of a look (not what you're suggesting - understood) :added: FS425 [VIEW][LOOK][ENTER] should change to l...

Re: Touchscreen personality

I find pressing the softkeys very handy as well as the HUGE atrtribute bubbles. Useful for selecting gobos etc.
Now we have SELECT TOOL as S7, you can even get your large popup 5x5's visible and useful just using the touchscreen. Then you're really flying.

Re: Console Personalities

Personalities.jpg From the Quick Start Guide: If you like the interface that you currently have with v3.x, don’t worry, just use Palette Windows UI (the default after an install). You will get playback icons above the cue list and all action buttons will initiate a dialogue box. For example, RECORD...

Predictive Command Line

When you use the command line to enter a selection, you may note old selections in < > 's. These are the best match suggestions for what you've typed so far. Say, if you've already selected fixtures 1 + 5 + 15, then do some other things, next time you start to type 1 + ... you will see Before.jpg If...

Re: Mark M-key

When running they have the blue o-> symbol showing they are marking and it tells you which cue and what value it is marking for. Currently - this is not displayed in Blind. Not sure why. I can imagine why it doesn't show you what it marking for (this is figured out with GO), but it could show you th...
