Re: Crashes

We've looked at your show file and discussed this internally -- so far this does not match anything we've experienced with other customers. We've also passed it onto the hardware support folks to see if they've seen any similar failures before. I wish I had more encouraging information.

Re: Comments from a console on Tour

Goto Syntax Problems You are in Cue 10, and you decide to go back to a previous cue. Typing "[Cue] 9 [Goto]" leaves aspects of Cue 10 still active. Typing "[Goto] 9 [Enter]" works as expected. (same thing happens in the latest BETA version 10.3.41) Thanks, added FS#983 Release, release, release It ...

Re: Palette offline for vista?

Any idea if ever, if the offline editor will ever come out for Vista? or is it impossible? Yes. Previously, we were dragging our feet because on some of our laptops, we've been seeing terrible screen display problems. However, we have determined that it is not a problem with the OLE software but wi...

Re: 500 compatibility

Unfortunately, when Strand went into receivership everyone in the UK (including all the programmers familiar with the 500) were made redundant (by law). This fact combined with the difference in the Palette's Abstract Control Model vs. the 500's "DMX style" control model makes converting a Palette S...

(Lua) - Show Report in HTML

With many thanks to John and Robert, attached is palette_log.lua, a (hopefully) easy to use lua logging extension. It supports logging as text or html (with basic formatting), optionally can include the date/time and can optionally log to the history window as well. The html can also be setup to aut...

Re: Open Source section coming to strand-dev.com

Having Open Source software doesn't mean you can't make money from it, it depends on the terms of the license. For general reading on Open Source software licenses, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source_license and for dual licensing see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual_license . Any softwar...

Re: Channel select and distribution issue

If I go Group 1 THRU Group 3 @ 1 to 100 do I see: 1) Every channel at a different level? 2) 1-100@1%, 101>200@50%, 201>300@FL ? You will see (1) every channel at a different level. Groups are just recalled as individual channel selections. I definitely see the utility in (2), but things were never ...

Re: Sub Fx commande : intensity and frequence

Since effects are high on the list of what to look at soon, ideas like this are good. We will definitely try and consider the functionality that the competition has. Thanks for mentioning it.
