Release Candidate v1.3

Hi, when I unzip this I'm only getting the Software.bin file - is this correct? I'm more used to seeing 7 folders plus 2 files. This is what i get when I download from the main Strand site (http://www.strandlighting.com/index.php?xsearch%5B0%5D=&xsearch%5B1%5D=250ML Console&xsearch%5B2%5D=&submit=Se...

Re: 250ML Frustration

Is there any news on a date for the next software release? I'm reluctant to give up completely, because it has potential - if it gets the bugs sorted and a few improvements added - to be a really useful and attractive desk, filling a niche that no-one else quite does. But it's not nearly in good eno...

Re: VGA Display

This lack of memory is proving to be rather a frustrating block to improvements to the board (Reesb's point below, ability to enter text by external keyboard rather than dial-and-enter) - is there any way of fitting more? Can't quite imagine what the designers were thinking to cut it so fine, given ...

Re: 250ML Frustration

I'm afraid this harks back to a post of mine some time back. One of the factors in my buying this was the statement from Philips Strand that they were determined to turn round their recent poor performance and enthusiastically support and develop this product. Around the beginning of the year I poin...

Re: Software updates

Hi Bobby, thanks for that reassurance, for me the most desirable would be changing the DMX option in to control submasters rather than channels 1 - 24.

Cheers,

Ian

Software updates

Hi Bobby, Just wondered what's happening with this desk in terms of development - there don't seem to have been any updates since September. There are still bugs being found, and there have been a number of good suggestions as to possible improvements, so that gap of over four months is beginning to...

Training

Hi, don't know if you'd have the resources in the UK in place to support this, but wondered if you'd be interested in running training sessions for the new desk? What brought this to mind is that the Federation of Scottish Theatre have just announced the inital programme for their Winter Training Sc...

DMX in

Hi, again no idea how possible or tricky this might be, but I'd love an option of using a small desk (24 channels) via the DMX in to control a nominated page of submasters, rather than just channels on a one-to-one basis - would make it a lot easier for busking a show if I could have 24 of the most ...

labelling subs, cues, etc

No idea if this is possible, but would it be possible to allow a USB keyboard to be attached to the USB port in order to make labelling much quicker?
