Re: Why is it so hard, to make a good lighting desk???

a great point, Terry. I think it's still a good idea to put in the check boxes though, kind of the "three ways to the same result" theory that alot of the other functionality of the console displays. for example, If i set a look and record it to the sub, but then decide that i don't want intensity c...

Re: Why is it so hard, to make a good lighting desk???

H How to you record them, that with a ML only the intensity is going down and all other atts. are holding their values?? This is very important in the theater. Peter To me it sounds like Peter is trying to have the submaster ONLY control the intensity and leave the other attributes where they are, ...

Cue List Controls question

I might be missing something, but for me whenever I power up my console, the Cue List Controls are back in above the Cue List and the check box is checked in Hardware setup. I tried unchecking the box, saving the show again, shutting down, and powering back up; lo and behold the controls are back. A...

Re: 10.6 Tutorials

I vote both. Since you get the Palette software both on the console and online, the tutorials should be available both ways as well. we can't leave out the people that only download the OLE. :)

Re: PVL Labeling

yeah, the problem is that's how it's done now, and there isn't room anywhere else to print them. and we obviously can't move the subs farther apart. hmmmm. tricky. Paint Pen it is.

color name in bubble over FX

So I found an item that i'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature. if you take a library color from any of the manufacturers and apply it to a fixture and then run a color FX on that fixutre, the name of the Library color you assigned remains in the color bubble while the effect is running. I thought ...

PVL Labeling

Just a quick observation hardware wise, on the Palette VL, when you're sitting at the desk, if you run a submaster to full, the handle pretty much covers the number completely. Annoying if you're just using one or two, but if you're using a bunch for busking or whatnot, can become a problem, especia...

RFU Channel check issue

a customer has pointed out an unusual bug in the RFU 3 channel check tab: going to the Check option, the Fixture number defaults to fixture 1. that's fine, but when you highlight the number and try to replace it, the software puts whatever number you punch in next AFTER the 1 that already there. The...

Re: 21st Century Light Plot Viz

Thanks Michael, As far as the maquette goes, absolutely. part of the beauty of Sketchup is the speed that you can render 3D at, and the prospect of integrating that with a live feedback piece of software like WYSIWYG really excited me. The iPhone actually brings up a really fantastic set of opportun...
