RS232 serial open

I am using bidirectional communication via RS232 with Lutron homeworks. I use an autorun cuesheet on Marquee startup to close the serial port and then open the serial port with HC.SerialClose(1) wait 5 seconds HC.SerialOpen(1,'38400,N,8,1','script'); It opens the port MOST of the time. Sometimes it ...

macro screen, display

The macro screen is not wide enought to see the whole HC. command and the arguments. Could it be larger? Is there a way to print/display/send to ascii, Cue numbers and/or variables with their macro commands? I find that it takes some time to verify macro commands. Is there a way to find and document...

Re: External control

Notepad++ is indeed the bomb. Dual monitors helps a great deal also. I have been keeping macro code in excel for reference so I can track the control chain, invaluable when problems arise, and they will. I found some code that would release every cuesheet except the ones that I put in the if stateme...

Re: External control

Brian:
I see what you mean. I will use that next time. I think that trying to keep the if/then statements good and trying to find the right one in a list of 1000 might be too much. Still, a terrific idea for another project. Thanks

Re: External control

Brian:
That's what the medialon does via IP control. It sends the same command that a web page magic sheet does followed by a carriage return line feed.
HC.VariableSet('LP',1,1)!0D!0A
IS there an easier way?

cue sheet release

I have found a problem with cuesheet release that is, unfortunately, not consistant. I am running several cuesheets at any one time. My main cuesheet has a priority of 50. The other cuesheets that bring up specials are priority 30. The "specials" cuesheets do not have overlapping channels. CHannel 5...
