On Open script/macro

What I would like to do is have a message box pop up when I open a particular show file.

I'm assuming that I can do this but I can't seem to figure out where this would be inserted or called from.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Re: USB DMX IN

When we set up our Strand 301 for use as on stage control of our work lights (or whatever else we wanted to toss in a look), we had the same issue of the console only outputting 12 DMX channels. The simple solution was to patch another channel (I think it was in the 500s too).

Definitely sending a NOTE. HC.MidiNoteOn(1,1) to be specific.

Asserting all cue lists on ANY update might be the problem here. I don't think it should do that.

MIDI note sent on update

So we are in the middle of our seasonal favourite (nightmare) of Nutcracker and this year we some how ended up without a sound operator so I decided I would send MIDI notes to the sound computer to fire the cues. I took one of the playbacks on the Light Palette Live and created a cue that just sent ...

Re: Radiance Hazer

What type of DMX are you using? Is it coming from an N21 Node, a SN110 node or DMX from the desk - 5-pin? Have you changed USB DMX settings in Hardware Setup|Console? Are you getting flashing or solid DXM light on the hazer? According to Ultratec, depending on the interface chip code version, the c...

Re: Pocket Palette Crashing

While I was working on something else today with the RFU I did notice it crashed on me a number of times. I spent a couple minutes trying to figure out why sometimes it crashes on me and other times it doesn't. What I have worked out is that if you turn the power up the RFU after having shut it down...

Re: Cue List priority

If this was a console that was being toured with an artist for a specific show I can see many ways to deal with it. But in a roadhouse where every day is a different show, I want to continue to have a playback that will start a circle or figure eight based on the moving lights current position, wher...

Cue List priority

We're a little confused over something that used to work (prior to 10.6.2) but now is giving us problems. We have the Light Palette Live and had setup in the playback faders a bunch of cuelists to use with our moving lights (VL1000TS). Previously, we would program some look faders with the moving li...

Re: Another round of questions

Inhibitive Subs: Any submaster set to be inhibitive is acting proportionally on the level of the channel, rather than limiting the maximum level of the channel. There are times where this is useful, but it would be nice to have a setting to allow you to limit how high the channel can go. In an inhi...

Re: Multiple Consoles

Some of the lag issues I'm experiencing with the main/remote setup may be because of my network runs. Our FOH network runs are about 315 feet from switch to switch, and I know CAT5 generally wants to be shorter than 300 feet. Has anyone else tried to run a remote console and had lag issues with sho...
