Re: Pocket Palette

Does this thing has a browser installed? If that's the case you could use one of the web based remotes One of them does patching from the remote. (mote.HTML) Don't have one in front of me, but it's more of a question of whether you have access to the browser. Most of the applications that are insta...

Re: Look macros

If I put the script

Code: Select all

print(HC.AttributeGetValue('live','181','gb Mode'))
I get a response of 'Rot CCW'

It appears that I can't get it to either equal or not equal another value to get it to do the 'if... then... else... end' function. :(

Look macros

Since we finally got 10.8.2 installed this week I'm now trying to setup macros in all of the playback buttons. One of the sets of macros that I'm trying to setup is for gobo rotation (CW fast, CW slow, stop, CCW slow, CCW fast). We added time to these as we noticed that were changing too abruptly bu...

Yes, the OLE program can be used as a full PC version of the console with the addition of a USB channel key and a node.

Re: importing an ETC cue list, patch with Strand

It has been a couple years since I had to do this, but from what I remember, the ETC ascii file that it exports has some errors in it. Last time I had to do this I fixed some of the errors that prevented it from doing the conversion. You can change the .asc to a .txt and Showport will then allow you...

10.8.1 Keys not working

Now that our summer renovations are mostly finished and we are back into rehearsals for our first show that opens tomorrow we've finally had a chance to start to put 10.8.1 to use. We've noticed in the last few days that some of the keys on the console do not work (Cue, @, Full, Out). Rebooting the ...

Contact your local dealer/distributor about getting it upgraded. You cannot download and update the software yourself.

Re: Midi/SMPTE Frames

Make sure you have at least 15 frames before you expect the 1st cue to execute . We found that it takes the Palette about 12 frames to lock on the SMPTE signal. I have always done that but for some reason some seem to escape. Can't you (Horizon) just generate a smpte stream and check every second i...

Re: Midi/SMPTE Frames

With about a week left in our dance recital season we have made use of SMPTE on a couple of extra shows this year. Aside from a few times where the first cue didn't fire at the beginning of the number (need to investigate this during the next few months when I have more time) it has been a huge help...

Look page chase

Just curious, when "bump chases" came into play, did it essentially replace "Look page chases"? Earlier today I tried to create a look page chase but every time I selected it from the effects list, nothing happened.

I might try it again later if I get a chance.
