Re: Old features i miss

.... but I could do all that on the 500! ;-) Except that when I came out of blind into live, the change in blind were done, committed, saved, and I didn't have to worry about them. If I've gone into blind to start making changes, it's pretty likely that I actually want them to stick. The worst case ...

Re: Comments from a console on Tour

500 series would only change 'red' (selected/modified) channels on the next go press if you were in tracking-off mode. In tracking mode, channel levels would only change on the go push if the incoming cue had an instruction for that channel (unless you had loaded an out of sequence cue) In other wor...

Re: S4 Revolutions

Hi All, I do remember talking the Revolution oddities through with Brian at the time we did that show. However, because we'd already done quite a lot of programming with the Revolutions we never actually used any new Revolution personality that Brian created (since it would change the behaviour of t...

Re: SYMBOL RFU and 520

Is this on a 520 or a Palette? If a 520, I wonder if the patch screen was somehow set to display the 'other' of the two patches that a 500-series console can hold simultaneously? On the right of the screen somewhere it should say 'Live:' and 'Edit:' with a number after each. Make sure the numbers ar...

Re: Trackback/'update track back cue'

It's wrong because as I was trying to say, zero should be a special case for trackback....

Re: Trackback/'update track back cue'

Make cues 1>10, doing nothing.

Go to cue 5.

Turn chans 1+2 on @50.

Hit UPDATE.

I get offered cue 5 as the current cue, cue 1 as the 'trackback' cue.

Or is this because I've 'blocked everything' in cue 1?

Re: Trackback/'update track back cue'

While we're at it.... the Update dialogue box really needs to give some indication of which lights are going to track back to where if there is more than one track back cue. I know this is hard in the DB because each light might be going to a different cue. I wonder if there's some way of showing th...

Trackback/'update track back cue'

I'd argue that if you're adding a light to a cue that has previously not been on, you shouldn't be offered a trackback cue for that light. Otherwise if you accidentally 'tracked back' from cue 100, you'd end up with all the lights that were coming on for the first time in that cue, in the whole show...

Re: Ideas

Partial show load is in, from 10.3.something. Not sure of how 'granular' it is, but it certainly let me bring in one cue from a cuelist the other day after I stuffed something up, and you can also bring cue lists in as different cuelists if you want to compare-and-contrast versions. File > Import, p...
