Re: LP VL:systeme load and no signal video after

Ctrl-Alt-F1 should bring it back.

Apparently the desk disables VGA if it's not plugged in at bootup.

I'm still not sure why the desk looks for an alternative video output if there's no VGA present. Can someone explain why?

Crash!

My desk keeps going into offline editor mode. Any idea on how/why this is occurring? I've checked the channel key and it seems to be seated properly.

When it does this it also crashes - freezing faceplate/keyboard. Yay.

Re: Console Lockup

It doesn't sound like it, but make sure the USB a>b cable is nice and secure.
Without this, the faceplate won't respond, and anything that is plugged into it (Trackpad...) wont work either.

Rack Palette

Good Afternoon. I've got my rack palette set up to be a backup. However, when I turn it on neither VGA output is sending data to the monitors. This makes it rather useless! The DOS boot up screen is displayed; it's as soon as we're in Windows that we lose signal. Why is this? How can I solve it? I'v...

Re: part cues

I can't be any help - but I can second that I've experienced this as well. (In both 10.6.1 and 10.6.2)

The desk seems to revert everything to part A every time you reload. It's rather tedious!

Re: looks on playbacks lp vl

I'd second that - it makes sense as you read it, just like you say.

Re: Many, many questions

Excellent. There will be people from the Barbican in each day, but myself and Vic will be in on Monday (At the moment!)

Looking forward to meeting you all properly.

Re: Many, many questions

Thank you for your reply - it's good to see so many of the things are on the "list". I'll get that syntax to you asap. I guess mostly my major gripes are the command line - I want to be able to do everything in as few entries as possible, and if I try to do something I can't I want the desk to tell ...

Re: Many, many questions

10.6.2 installed. Sadly, the Color/Lens Time removal hasn't worked for us. When we enter the syntax on one of our VLs, nothing happens, and when we attempt it on our other VL, it removes the columns in the Q list, but when you re-activate them, the times are still there. I hope it is just that we do...

Many, many questions

Hello all. If you're short of attention span, stop reading now... this will go on a bit! We've had the desk for a while now and haven't really got to grips with it - so have used this summer to actually try and get au fait with it so we can use it! However, we've come up with many, many, many questi...
